Turner Syndrome
The picture of a miscarriaged foetus below is from my yesterday's Biochemistry lecture note. Only 1 in 40 Turner foetuses go to term and according to my Genetics professor, Dr David T. Croke, genetic disease accounted for 50% of still-births. Turner syndrome is a genetic disease due to the absence of an X or a Y chromosome. This disorder inhibits normal sexual development and causes infertility.
