Taste of Music
My taste of music changes every year. This year is more of a dance music whilst last year was more of an indie music and I remember a year before that I was so into singer/songwriter type of music (I listened to David Gray and Damien Rice very often).
And here's the summary:
2006: Electronic music
2005: Independent music
2004: Alternative rock
2003: Jazz music
2002: Pop music
Wonder what type of music is it gonna be in 2007, country music? or maybe hip hop music?

Malay Fried Noodles
Recently, I have a crave for this delicious Malaysian dish which is called wet fried noodles back home. It is a Malay version of chow mein only that it is more hot and spicy. Mamak (Indian) fried noodles is another version of Chinese fried noodles and it is probably the most popular one in Malaysia.
Afterglow
Fake tanning is fast becoming part of many men's grooming routine. Arm yourself with Afterglow, the easy-to-use airbrush tanning system, to combat pastiness. For those of you who are weary of ending up with orange-hued skin, fear not. The active solution is not an extreme dye, it works with your skin tone to create the same natural, healthy glow you achieve from sunbathing. And with gradual application there's no room for over-tanning. Though it's a bit of an investment (£199), think of all the money you'll be saving on products.

The Ambitious Dubai
Dubai's land-reclamation projects will be the largest man-made offshore structures in the world:
1) The Palm (Jumeirah, Jebel Ali and Deira)
2) The World Archipelago
3) Dubai Waterfront (the largest waterfront development in the world)
Dubai, the so-called 'Hong Kong' of the Middle East has shocked the world with the tallest hotel in the world (Burj al-Arab) and the upcoming world's tallest structure (building or tower) which is the Burj Dubai. It made me wonder, what's next?

Oscar Nominations
Best Picture: "Brokeback Mountain", "Capote", "Crash", "Good Night, and Good Luck" and "Munich".
Well, I got my prediction for best picture nominations wrong, Capote and Munich weren't in my list. Was suprised that Walk The Line was not in the nominations because I thought that the movie would be a very strong contender for Brokeback Mountain. Before making my prediction, I wasn't sure either to put Capote or The Constant Gardener in the nominations but since the latter just been nominated for BAFTA award, I guess that could influence the juries of the Oscar to pick them. My prediction for best picture would be like anyone else; Brokeback Mountain because of its deep social message but Crash might shocked the public again like they did during Screen Actors Guild (SAG).
I really hope that this time Heath Ledger will win the best actor award simpy because of his strong performance in the movie and he hasn't won anything yet. He's competing against Philip Seymour Hoffman who played his part very well as Truman Capote but Heath Ledger did show some meaningful emotions in Brokeback Mountain (in which the audiences can empathize) whilst creating his own character in the movie as a kinda shy guy with depressed childhood or very strict upbringing.
For best actress award, I really hope that Felicity Hoffman wins it despite her lost to Reese Witherspoon during SAG award (I always thought that Felicity is the best Desperate Houswives out of four actresses).
I supposed, the theme for Oscar this year is LGBT with Brokeback Mountain (about gay lovers), Capote (a gay writer) and Transamerica (regarding a transexual father) in the nominations. It would be nice if the Irish movie Breakfast On Pluto (tranverstism) also been nominated for the award like it was nominated for the Golden Globes.
